After the Cold Water Classic Series 2011 kicked off in New Zealand two weeks ago, the surfing elite moves on to the far North in Thurso/Scotland for its “most northern” tour stop.

CWC New Zealand Finals Highlights from Rogue Mag on Vimeo.

From April 13th to 19th the surfers will brave the Scottish weather and face the freezing waves, because the most extraordinary prize awaits the winners: The two finalists will each receive a plot of land in the Scottish Highlands and with it, the title of Lord! The winner can also claim the most remarkable trophy in surfing – the custom-forged Highland Sword!

How will the surfers deal with the inconstant weather conditions this year? Scotland is known for its “Cold Water Classic surprises”… The Finals last year wear hit by massive snow falls and many of the surfers had never seen snow before!
