NASS came back bigger and better for 2013, the festival was packed with a great music line up consisting of 5 different stages as well as pro BMX, inline and skateboard competitions. Thousands of people enjoyed the #NASShype, atmosphere and sunshine with drum and bass pumping out through the weekend.

Nothing was held back in the BMX competition, there were some huge tricks from all the riders as they pushed the boundaries to a whole new level in the Pro Park. Despite being one of the hottest weekends of 2013 the riders gave it everything… we saw a perfectly executed double back flip from Tom Isted, an absolutely huge a superman from ‘superhero’ Tom Justice and a crash roll from Brandon Loupos to mention but a few.

It was great to see how progressive the sport has become with all the riders bringing their own element and a bunch of new tricks to the competition. Everyone pushed each other to squeeze the most out of the course as a variety of technically accurate and fast, aggressive tricks were thrown down.

The finals blew the minds of everyone in the park on Saturday, with the crowd behind them the riders took it up a level with some breath taking tricks. The final runs were full of energy as each rider dropped in for their chance to win. The competition results break down as follows:

1st Logan Martin, 2nd Brandon Loupos and 3rd Todd Meyn.

All three of the podium riders were closely matched, Logan linked his run together smoothly and showed that he had the skill and style to stand out and pinch the win on the day.

Music head-liners Katy B, NAS, Hadouken and Zane Lowe all smashed the main stage, playing out to a full capacity crowd on Friday and Saturday evening. NASS Festival has a reputation for its amazing atmosphere and on the main stage you could see why… the crowd loved every second of it!

Elsewhere in the Drum and Bass arena Radio1 and 1Xtra’s CrissyCriss and friends took over the stage and nailed it with some full on sets, which ended in a crazy stage dive from Crissy into the hyped up ravers! Over at the Get Darker vs this is Dubstep stage Benga launched in with a mixture of his classic songs through to material from his new album which received a massive response too.

The in-line and skateboarding competitions were also very successful, with some great riding taking place. The course had a lot of offer the skaters with a good selection of different rails as well as the ramps, which provided great action throughout. The World Cup skateboarding was an international affair with competitors from Brazil, Spain, Denmark, Czech Republic, Ireland and the UK. It was fantastic to see such a diverse group of people riding together and having fun.
