The British weather held out as the championship basked in some late summer sun.
The Red Bull MX2 championship and Rookies championships were still up for grabs going into the final day of the championship.

Martin Barr riding the PAR Honda would battle it out with Elliott Banks-Browne on the DB racing Honda for the championship. Elliott did all he could by winning both races in the class, but it was to be Barr‘s as he secured the MX2 championship with a second and third place.

It concluded a successful year in the Pro Nationals for PAR Honda with Brad Anderson already being crowned MX1 champion.

The Rookie championship saw Sunny Thompson and Lewis Trickett locked in competition for the win with just seven points separating them at the top of the standings. Sadly the much anticipated final round battle never took place when Lewis was injured early on the Saturday suffering a dislocated hip and was taken by helicopter to hospital.

Sunny wrapped up the championship on the Samsung Yamaha completing an impressive pro national season, he is a star to watch in the future.

Sadly two stars of the British Motocross scene also announced plans to retire at the end of the season. James Noble of the Proppa Honda Team and Carl Nunn of the MVR-D Suzuki Team. Both have been great racers on the British Motocross scene for years and if they do retire will be a loss to the championship. Both put in strong performances with James taking home 2nd place in the MX1 championship.

Let the countdown begin to the 2011 season……
