THE race season is over and I am back training harder than ever and enjoying the Show season. And I am single again…

I am enjoying going out a bit now the pressure is off from racing. I had a great evening with Troy Corser – the former World Superbike Champion – at his retirement party; he put on a good event. It was nice to be able to talk to other girls as well – I really enjoyed it.

I am that busy with training and working with some sponsors that my feet are barely touching the ground though. I am training in the gym in Derby on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and then at the running track or swimming pool on Tuesday’s and Thursdays.

I didn’t think it was possible but I am training harder than before – about 40% more. And I feel great for it; I am in good shape and really buzzing.

And despite being single and having a few more nights out with friends or sponsors, I am not touching a drop of alcohol. I like feeling fit and well and that is important to me. Fitness is so important to me as a racer that there is no way I am going to drink, I am totally focussed on the 2012 World Supersport Championship.

Speaking about that, I am sorted with my team and I am staying with PTR for 2012 with the objective of winning the title. The team and I believe with the experience I have gained in 2011 and the strength of the bike and squad it is achievable – I believe it will happen.

Former double World Supersport Champion Kenan Sofuoglu is coming back on a Kawasaki next year and I think that is the best news I have had since the last race. He is a very worthy past Champion and to win any Championship I want to beat the best in the world. I am genuinely happy he’s going to be racing against me and I am looking forward to battling and beating him on track.

I’ve been out mountain biking at Cannock Chase which was brilliant in the midlands. If you like riding mountain bikes then get yourself out there, it is superb and you might just bump into me and a few other bike racers – like Leon Haslam and Sylvain Guintoli. We go at least once a week.

I’ve also been trials riding with Danny Butler who is a pushbike trials Champion. That was great fun and I really enjoyed it – and he’s amazing on a bike, I can vouch for that.

I’ve spent a few days at the International Motorcycle Show at the NEC and it was good to catch up with some of my sponsors – Furygan, TCX and Shark – and friends. I took part in the question of bikes on the big stage and my team won so I’m happy.

I’ve been following the MotoGP rules change with some interest and the new CRT (Claiming Rules Team) bikes. I think the new machines will make for bigger grids but I’m not sure on how competitive they will be. DePuniet is a good rider and Colin Edwards is the best in development so if they can’t get them competitive then there is no hope. It’s still early days though, so I’ll be keeping an eye on the testing for sure.

That’s all for now, I’ll write again soon…
