72 of the world’s best female surfers are back in France to chase the winning crown of the only female ASP 6-Star event in Europe – the Girls Pro France 2011.

After its successful premiere in the previous year, the Girls Pro France 2011 will once again offer girl power galore! From June 1st to 5th 2011 French surfing hot spot Seignosse Hossegor welcomes the world’s best female surfers to the second edition of this 6-star event of the ASP Tour.
The competition not only shines with high level professional surfing but also with a unique flair. The mix of the hollow waves at the seemingly never ending beaches, the region’s laid back “savoir vivre” attitude , a crowd of aficionados and the ladies’ powerful and gracious surfing style makes the event an absolute highlight in any surfing calendar.
It’s no surprise that the current top international surfers answer the calling! Transforming this year’s competition to a mere fireworks of surfing extravaganza are: Four-time World Champion Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) and her closest rival Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS), Coco Ho (USA) eager to continue her family’s legacy, local heroine Pauline Ado (FRA) determined to put on the best performance in front of her home crowd as well as surfing beauties and powerhouses Alana Blanchard (USA) and Sofia Mulanovich (PER). These belles are faced with tough competition flocking from all continents ready to challenge them in the waves of the Atlantic and reach for the stars themselves.
