This year’s event will be broadcast on Eurochannel during primetime slots to an audience of 25 million people.

Following on from the success of the last two years work, The People’s Music Awards (TPMA), the first and only global unsigned music awards in the world, return with their 2011 awards ceremony and live finalists showcase, hosted by XFM DJ Eddy Temple-Morris and broadcast during prime time on Eurochannel.

Celebrating the accomplishments and music of the best new bands and artists of 2011 from across the globe, as voted for by The People (the worldwide public), The People’s Music Awards continues to cement its reputation within the music industry establishment as a world leader in the promotion and support of new and unsigned music. In recognition for TPMA’s continued commitment, this years awards, in association with bing, are officially supported by AIM (Association of Independent Musicians), MPG (Music Producers Guild), Unsigned Guide, UK Music Jobs and Secret Garden Party.

Hosted by Eddy Temple-Morris (XFM), the awards ceremony will see 14 finalists and guests perform live, and the winners presented with their awards in front of the music industry, world’s media, and of course their fans, with one winner receiving a headline support slot at this year’s Secret Garden Party festival in July.

Dylan Satow, founder of TPMA, said

“It’s great to keep building on the success of the last two years and to have the support of so many amazing organisations and people who believe in helping new and unsigned bands achieve their goals. The event at Scala next month is going to be amazing, a must attend event for any music fans wanting to hear a variety of fresh acts under one roof, mixed with industry figureheads and there’s one hell of an after-party planned!”
