The Answer, the award-winning Irish rockers who recently played Sonisphere
2011 at Knebworth Park, will release their latest studio album on October 3rd 2011 via Spinefarm Records / Universal.
Titled ‘Revival’ and produced by the Grammy-nominated Chris ‘Frenchie’ Smith, with mixing handled by Chris Sheldon, this is the third studio album released by the Downpatrick quartet since first coming together a decade ago.
The initial run of the album will be a limited edition deluxe format with 24-page booklet & band sleeve-notes, plus an 11-track second disc containing previously unreleased studio, acoustic, demo & cover material.

The first single / video from the album will be ‘Vida (I Want You)’ b/w ‘Can’t Remember, Can’t Forget’ (live acoustic), set for release through Spinefarm on September 5th. The album also contains a duet, “Nowhere Freeway”, which sees Cormac pairing up with rock’n’soul vocalist and ST JUDE frontwoman Lynne Jackaman for an impressive vocal display.
To coincide with this new single & album, The Answer have announced their first UK tour since December 2009; the ‘Revival’ tour, first leg, runs from September 30th to October 28th and includes 20 headline dates overall.
