Rogue Mag Music - The Killers - The Cowboy's Christmas Ball

The Killers have released their sixth consecutive annual Christmas single with proceeds going to (RED) today. The Cowboys’ Christmas Ball is available via iTunes from today (December 1st, World AIDS Day), along with the Las Vegas band’s previous Christmas singles, collected together and available as an EP for the first time.

All proceeds from the song and the EP’s sales will benefit the (RED) organization’s global fight against AIDS. Additionally, supporters of (RED)’s just-announced 2015 Campaign, which aims to create an AIDS-free generation by 2015, can also receive their choice of Killers Christmas single for free upon pledging to the 2015 Quilt at www.2015quilt.com.

The Cowboys’ Christmas Ball sees The Killers perform a classic 1890 cowboy poem by Larry Chittenden, “The Poet-Ranchman of Texas”, in irresistible hoe-down style. A video to go with the single will be coming soon.

The Killers are also currently working on a new record, the follow-up to 2008’s #1 album, Day & Age.
