Rogue Mag Motor Sport Isle of Man TT TT3D DVD

Without a doubt, when TT3D comes out on DVD, it is the only motor sport film you should be watching. Helping to launch the Isle of Man TT Races further into the public consciousness. TT3D follows select riders as they prepare to take on the world’s most incredible road race, battling at speeds of up to 200 miles per hour, over a mountain, through villages and past walls barely inches away, fighting to win the most dangerous race on the planet.

The danger of the Isle of Man TT is very real. This year alone the races claimed two lives. Unlike almost every other form of motor sport racing, there are no safety cells, no sliding zones or gravel pits. Close the roads, let them loose. Everyone who attends the TT races understands these riders are more akin to gladiators than simply good racers.

For the thrill, determination to win and the challenge of beating your opponent, guys like John McGuiness, Ian Hutchinson, Conor Cummins and Guy Martin will risk their very lives. Some pay the ultimate price, others come incredibly close, you can see Guy Martin’s crash below from the 2010 races, amazingly he survived to race again in 2011.

Its not only the excitement of the danger that makes TT3D such a great film. The story builds by taking in the racers, getting into their mentality and also delving into lives of their families, who supports them despite the obvious dangers. The atmosphere of the TT is captured beautifully, you feel a real sense of being part of the action, a member of the community.

Also, the use of 3D technology to tell the story is some of the most creating I’ve seen yet. There’s nothing quite like watching the bikes speed past the camera in 3D.

TT3D is outstanding on many levels, story telling, film work and the most exciting motor sport in the world.

Nothing else comes close. [R]

TT3D is available on November 28th 2011 in 3D and 2D on DVD and Blu-Ray
