Volcom are proud to announce that they have teamed up with Non-profit lifestyle brand, Krochet Kids International (KKi) as a part of Volcoms Giving Back Series this autumn.
Krochet Kids international is a grass roots movement and organisation whose mission is to empower people to rise above poverty. Their aim is to create sustainable economic development programs that support holistic growth of individuals and communities within developing nations and to inspire the knowledge of a generation about their ability to bring change to a world that is in need.
The collaboration consists of four handcrocheted hats (two mens and two womens styles). The hats will be hand made in Northern Uganda by a group of 87 women participating in an economic development program.
Through sustained employment, fair wages and education these women are being given the tools to break the cycle of poverty within their communities by providing for themselves and their families. In addition to each purchase already supporting the women and programs in Uganda, Volcom will donate a portion of its proceeds to further reinforce the KKi programs.

Every product will carry with it the signature of the woman who made it and allow customers the opportunity to read her profile online and even write to say thank you.
