Hot on the heels of their top ten debut album release “Are You Satisfied?” and winning the ‘Spirit of Punk’ award at this year’s Kerrang! Awards, Slaves release ‘Sockets’, a high octane love song on the 4th of September. The anarchic video for Sockets premiered on Noisey.
Telling the story of a young man helpless at the sight of a beautiful girl, and the girl herself, bored by salivating male attention, Sockets is a three minute sonic assault full off frenetic energy and fast guitars. Already a firm live favourite, Sockets is an alternative Saturday night anthem! The 7″ comes with brand new track, In Dog Years You’re Dead.
The release comes after the band’s rip-roaring three (count’ em) performance’s at this year’s Glastonbury, tearing up the John Peel stage, surprising the punters at the BBC Introducing stage, as well as some post-Kanye carnage at the Shangri-hell stage. Slaves continue their festival onslaught playing T in The Park this weekend, supporting The Libertines at this year’s Ibiza Rocks 10th Anniversary and tearing up Reading and Leeds, not to mention headlining their own much-in-demand tour in November.
