This season Alpinestars continue their line of street-smart menswear with quirky tailoring, motorsports heritage inspired details and a strong offering of flannel shirts, quilted jackets with Sherpa linings, denim, and accessories.
Traditional tailoring is given a modern twist on Alpinestars’ Drip Dry shirt, where a traditional pinstripe is updated with an overdye effect, as modelled by Alpinestars team rider Drake McElroy. Cut from a different cloth, Drake refuses to be wedged into the FMX style mould. Renowned for his creativity and style on an MX bike, Drake is also defined by his eclectic interests in art, design and music. Eclectic style is echoed by other pieces in the collection, like the Toss Up shirt, which uses a selection of checks with mismatched pockets and contrast panels on a short sleeved shirt, for a new take on smart casual.
Alpinestars’ strong motorsports heritage is reflected in their use of the classic rectangular Alpinestars “workwear” logo, hinting at influences from the mechanic’s garage and worker’s uniforms. Used on simple knitted beanie hats, chambray shirts and boldly emblazoned on mesh-back trucker caps, the logo also appears on Alpinestars’ new season chinos, on both the slim fit Turner Chino in black and charcoal and the “workwear style” HR Chino in khaki, platinum and black.
A muted colour palette of dark forest green, heather grey and blood red continues into their line of accessories, with 100% wool belts and fold-over wallets the focal points of the collection.
